United in Christ Lutheran Church in Eveleth, Minnesota has its roots in several Lutheran churches in the area, including:
  • Church of Eveleth: Founded in 1897 by Finnish immigrants, with Reverend John Back as the first pastor. The church was dedicated in 1901 and renamed Concordia Lutheran Church in 1942. In 1968, it merged with First Lutheran to form Christ Lutheran Church.
  • Evangelical Lutheran (Swedish): Organized in 1900 by Pastor P. O. Hanson, who served until 1907.
  • Lutheran churches in Gilbert and Sparta: Merged with Christ Lutheran Church to form United in Christ. 
A new United in Christ Church was opened in 2005 on the site of the former Von's Drive-In
